Most of the AI that is used in MiniLesson is managed by Poodll. e.g. We choose the text-to-speech or speech-to-text providers for you. In some cases we use our own AI systems.
As AI becomes more powerful we have been able to use it to assess the transcript of student free speaking or writing. In these cases we believe that schools and teachers may prefer to use an AI provider of their choosing.
The MiniLesson AI provider allows you to choose an AI provider from the Moodle AI subsystem if you wish to do so. The AI manager is located at:
Site Administration -> Plugins -> Activity Modules -> Poodll MiniLesson -> AI Manager
Once on the AI manager page you can choose which AI Provider will be used for grading student submissions. This allows you to use any of rhe AI providers on your Moodle site. By default it will use Cloud Poodll.
The Moodle AI subsystem currently is not complete enough for us to provide this option for everything. Currently we use it for grading free speaking or free writing transcripts.
