Using Poodll MiniLesson's AI Generate tab, it is possible to create MiniLesson items automatically. (See a video here )


NB The generated lesson will probably still require some editing from you. For example you may want to set more words as "gaps" in Passage Gapfill, or adjust time limits or word counts to suit your students. But the AI Generate feature should help you be more productive. At the time of writing (July 2025) there are only 4 template lessons that you can generate from. We hope to add more regularly.


Steps

  1. Create a MiniLesson activity. Set any settings such as target language and transcription that you need to. The AI Generation will try to create lessons for students of the target language.
  2. Visit the activity's "AI Generate" tab
  3. Select the lesson template and configure any parameters it offers you
  4. When you press "Save Changes" it will begin generation which may take a few minutes
